Guest Advisory Council
The Family Promise Guest Advisory Council (GAC) is comprised of former guests of Affiliates across the country. The GAC is drawn upon for advocacy efforts, public relations, the development of initiatives and the formation of policy for Affiliates.
The GAC allows Family Promise to benefit from the knowledge and experiences of our former clients. Their input helps shape organizational policies, review new initiatives and ensure that all voices are heard within the organization. Their contributions have a demonstrable impact on the level of support we are able to provide to the families we serve.
As a former graduate of Family Promise of Lawrence (Kansas), homelessness became a defining moment in the restoration process of her life. Since her time with Family Promise, Rebecca has received her social work degree from the University of Kansas and is currently pursuing her MSW.
Syri leads the Graduate program at Family Promise of Greater Phoenix in Scottsdale, Arizona. She is a member of the Board of Directors and the CQI committee for Save the Family.
Tammi is a member of the Board of Directors and the Congregational Relations committee for GAIHN, our Affiliate in Greenville, South Carolina. She works for Day & Zimmerman, ECM as their Employee Concerns Program Representative.
Sarah is a 2011 graduate of Family Promise of Gwinnett County outside of Atlanta, Georgia. She is the mother of four wonderful girls ages 5, 7, 8, and 16. Sarah is a career advisor for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Program.
Yusuf is a graduate of Family Promise Metrowest (Massachusetts), and currently sits on two board committees for the Affiliate. He works for McKesson Technologies as a credentialing specialist and also works part time as a caregiver.
